Guildwood's own Victor Krustev completes his National Championships collection

OT Magazin           OT Magazin           OT Magazin

On August 20th, Victor won the U18 Canadian National Championships in singles and doubles without dropping a set. This completes his collection having previously won the title in all the remaining age groups: U12, U14, and U16. Victor follows in the footsteps of other great Canadian tennis players such as Milos Raonic, Eugenie Bouchard, Vasek Pospisil, Denis Shapovalov and other great players who have won the same event.
This winter, Victor will begin his undergraduate studies and play for the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), accepting a full scholarship. UCSB is renowned for his academic standards and division 1 NCAA tennis team.
For those you are unaware, Victor began his tennis career at Guildwood Tennis Club with our club pro Marina Pereira at the age of 6 and has been a member of the club ever since, occasionally playing for our STF team. His success is an example of the importance of quality junior tennis programs in the community and of the importance in investing in junior tennis development to provide juniors with the opportunity to realize their potential.
Let us wish Victor great success.
